Spiro PUR 60mm Pipe – Flexible Pellet Feeder Connector
Ensure safe and smooth fuel transport in your heating system. The 60mm spiro pipe, made of high-quality polyurethane (PUR), is an essential component connecting the external feeder (hopper) to the pellet burner. Its flexible design allows you to freely set the fuel feed angle, which is crucial in modern boiler rooms.
PUR Material Properties – Durability and Safety
Using polyurethane instead of ordinary PVC significantly improves the technical parameters of the pipe:
High Abrasion Resistance: Wood pellets are abrasive. PUR material has several times higher resistance to wall wear than standard plastics.
Steel Spiral Reinforcement: A steel wire spiral embedded in the wall gives the hose high structural rigidity while keeping it fully flexible. It protects the hose from collapsing and kinking.
Heat Resistance: The hose is designed to work in varying temperatures, so the material will not become brittle over time.
Smooth Inner Wall: Minimizes flow resistance, preventing pellets from jamming and dust from building up.
Versatility and Compatibility
A diameter of 60mm is the market standard, so the hose fits most burners and feeders available on the market:
Mocek boilers (BatoryPell and OxyPell series)
Kipi, Defro, Kostrzewa, Lazar, Venma, Skiepko, Sas
Other screw feeders with an outer connector diameter of approx. 60-63mm.
Safety ("Fuse" Function)
In pellet systems, the spiro hose acts as a passive safety fuse. In the rare event of a "flashback", the hose melts and breaks, effectively cutting off the path of the fire to the fuel tank.
Technical specification:
Inner diameter: 60 mm
Material: Polyurethane (PUR) reinforced with a steel spiral
Application: Pellet, sawdust and biomass feeders
Flexibility: Very high (small bending radius)
