The weather sensor regulates the temperature of the central heating boiler circuit or mixing valve depending on outdoor conditions. Based on the sensor's readings, the controller automatically raises or lowers the set temperature according to the configured heating curve.
As a result, the house is neither too hot when it's warm outside nor too cold during frosts, which significantly improves comfort and heating efficiency.
The device is usually installed on the north wall of the building, about 2 m above the ground. The DS18B20 measuring element sends a digital signal to the controller using the 1-Wire standard, ensuring precise and stable operation.
What weather-compensated control gives you
Once the weather sensor is connected, the MOCEK boiler controller lowers the supply temperature on its own when it gets warmer outside and raises it in frosty weather, following the heating curve set in the menu. The result: the house isn't overheated on mild days, the boiler runs more evenly, and pellet or eco-pea coal consumption drops. It's the cheapest upgrade you can make to a boiler with a feeder.
Compatibility
Outdoor sensor for ProND controllers: IRYD 620 (pellet boilers), IRYD RTZ PID and TITANIC (eco-pea coal boilers). Check in the controller's manual whether it has a weather sensor input – in MOCEK OXYPELL, BIOPAL and PRO boilers it is standard.
Installation
The sensor is mounted on an exterior wall facing north or northeast, about 2–3 m above the ground, away from windows, doors, ventilation outlets and sunlit spots. A two-core cable runs to the controller's terminal strip. It is worth combining it with a room panel – the controller then takes both the outdoor and indoor temperature into account.

In an installation with a mixing valve, the controller also needs to measure the water temperature downstream of the valve, which is provided by the mixing valve sensor.
